Seit 1998 ist Bernt Mayer Professor für Angewandte Wirtschaftspsychologie an der OTH Amberg-Weiden. Zuvor promovierte er bei Prof. Dr. Lutz von Rosenstiel in Organisations- und Wirtschaftspsychologie und arbeitete zwölf Jahre in der Personalpraxis — bei Softlab und der HILTI AG.
Sechzehn Jahre wirkte er als Studiendekan und Dekan, zuletzt der Weiden Business School. Seit Oktober 2023 ist er pensioniert und weiterhin als Lehrbeauftragter an den Hochschulen Amberg-Weiden, Deggendorf und Regensburg sowie als Trainer und Berater im In- und Ausland tätig.
Since 1998 Bernt Mayer was Professor of Corporate Leadership & People Development at OTH Amberg-Weiden. Before that he earned his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Lutz von Rosenstiel in organisational and business psychology and spent twelve years in HR practice — at Softlab and HILTI AG.
For sixteen years he served as study dean and dean, most recently of the Weiden Business School. Since October 2023 he is retired and continues to lecture at the universities of Amberg-Weiden, Deggendorf and Regensburg, and to work as a trainer and advisor at home and abroad.
